A healthy lifestyle is vital for a child’s well-being and keeping fit is an important part of this. Pupils participate in a wide range of sporting activities during their time at Bryony.
Children enjoy a wide variety of sports at Bryony School, from football and netball to hockey and tag rugby, swimming to athletics and cross country. Summer sports also include kwik cricket and rounders. Due to the rural setting of our Junior school, we are fortunate to be able to enjoy cross country running. The school hall is used for gymnastics and dance. All Junior children attend Medway Park every week for one term during the school year for certificated swimming lessons.
We promote enjoyment and participation while encouraging individuals and teams to achieve at the highest levels. Children take part in matches and tournaments against local schools and also compete against each other in our annual Sport Day. We have enjoyed much success over recent years within all of our inter-school regional competitions such as touch rugby and netball and the Kent Schools Swimming Association galas.
